LG-Nortel Mobile Extension enables an ipLDK communications platform user to operate their mobile phone like an extension from the office. The ipLDK can send calls to the mobile user and the user can place outgoing calls using the resources of the ipLDK.

Making you mobile

Mobility is a key driver for investing in new communications solutions. Business professionals no longer need to be tied to a desk or have multiple telephone numbers, which tend to decrease customer satisfaction.

Mobile extension capability allows mobile users to have a single telephone number which they use both in and out of the office.

Unlike many other manufacturers, LG-Nortel mobile extension does not require any specific make or model of mobile phone , you can use your existing mobile phone and telephone number. This approach minimises implementation costs by using existing mobile hardware; reducing printing costs associated with number changes and minimising time spent searching for contacts.

*ISDN lines are required for the mobile extension feature.

How LG Nortel Mobile Extension Works

When a call is placed to a users direct number, or a call is transferred to their extension, both the desk phone and the mobile phone will ring. If you are out of the office then your mobile will be your desk phone equivalent.

When calls are answered on the mobile the call can be transferred back into the system simply by dialling * followed by the extension number required. If the transferred extension does not answer, the caller can be reconnected to the mobile by dialling #.

Only pre-registered mobile phones can be used as mobile extensions ensuring that the communications network is kept secure at all times. Registering mobile phones is simple and can be easily achieved by the user.

Outbound calls can also be made by registered mobile user through the ipLDK system, potentially reducing call costs. A mobile user can dial into their office extension and then make a call as if they are in the officce - sending the caller ID of their office extension.
